Product Details

This is a PCGS Graded Coin. You will receive the pictured coin. You are Buying a 1883 Liberty Seated Quarter graded MS-67 by PCGS and CAC Approved. This coin exhibits swirling mint frost cartwheels over fully struck devices and fields that has a hint of semi-prooflikeness. The shield point is right of the 1. A tick on the knee is the only flaw on this otherwise pristine, wholly brilliant 1883 quarter. Without any commercial need for additional quarters, production was limited to 14,400 circulation strikes and 1,039 proofs. This Superb Gem ranks among the finest examples at both grading services and CAC. From the Kestrel Collection.
This is an excellent coin to add to your collection.

Seated Liberty Quarter With Motto (1866-1891) – After the Civil War, religious fervor had the motto IN GOD WE TRUST added to the U.S. circulating coinage. It started with the new two-cent piece in 1864, but the epitaph wasn’t added to the quarter dollar until 1866. The motto was placed in a ribbon above the reverse eagle. The inscription remained through the second Arrows variety and remains on the quarter dollar today.
