Known as a Seated Liberty Twenty Cents

Twenty Cent Piece (1875-1878) A Short-lived Series that caused much confusion and complaints from the public. The Design was hard to distinguish from the similar Liberty Seated Quarter due to its size and Obverse design. The main difference being the use of an Eagle patterned after the larger Golden Eagle used on coins in Mexico for the reverse and a smooth edge instead of a reeded one. Produced primarily in 1875 the production drastically tailed off the next year and was only issued as a proof in 1877 and 1878.
This is an excellent coin to add to your collection.
