Product Details
This is a ANACS Graded Coin. You will receive the pictured coin. You are Buying a 1893 Morgan Silver Dollar graded in PCGS MS62 with a CAC designation sticker. A very nice looking coin with peripheral toning. A small mintage of only 389,792 pieces at the Philadelphia Mint typifies the 1893 Morgan dollar production. It was a strange year filled with financial panic, when the Carson City Mint led all of the other mints in silver dollars struck. Each 1893 silver dollar issue is challenging regardless of where it was struck -- either scarce in an absolute sense, or conditionally rare in high grades. Even with its low mintage, the Philadelphia issue becomes truly rare at higher grades. This is an excellent coin to add to your collection.

Morgan Dollars (1878-1921) - After 1873, there was a short hiatus from U.S. dollar production. But in 1878, the Mint began to again strike silver dollars under the orders of the Bland-Allison Act. Created by Charles Morgan, the new dollar design was produced until 1904 and then again for one year in 1921. The Morgan dollar features a portrait of Lady Liberty on the obverse with a crown adorned with wheat, and cotton. The reverse offers an eagle with wings spread clutching a crop of arrows and an olive branch clutched in its talons. The coins were struck in 90% silver and are 0.7734 of a troy ounce. They are perhaps the most collected series in all of U.S. numismatics. Today, the Morgan Silver Dollar is highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts, who appreciate its historical significance, classic design, and enduring beauty. Whether you're interested in history, coin collecting, or simply looking for a unique piece of currency, the Morgan Silver Dollar is a must-have coin that is sure to impress.
