Product Details
This is an CACG Graded Coin. You will receive the pictured coin. You are Buying an 1887-S Morgan Silver Dollar graded MS65 by CACG and CAC Approved. For the grade, the coin is very clean, has very nice luster and a minimum of marks housed in a CACG holder. While lower- to mid-tier Mint State 1887-S Morgan dollars are somewhat plentiful, thanks to Treasury releases in the 1940s and 1950s, Gems are elusive and anything above MS64 is a condition rarity. This delightful MS65 piece has appreciably reflective, if not strictly Prooflike fields, as well as a measure of frost over the sharply struck devices. Minimally toned and strongly appealing. This is an excellent coin to add to your collection.

Morgan Dollars (1878-1921) - After 1873, there was a short hiatus from U.S. dollar production. But in 1878, the Mint began to again strike silver dollars under the orders of the Bland-Allison Act. Created by Charles Morgan, the new dollar design was produced until 1904 and then again for one year in 1921. The Morgan dollar features a portrait of Lady Liberty on the obverse with a crown adorned with wheat, and cotton. The reverse offers an eagle with wings spread clutching a crop of arrows and an olive branch clutched in its talons. The coins were struck in 90% silver and are 0.7734 of a troy ounce. They are popular today with silver buff and collectors alike. In fact, they are perhaps the most collected series in all of U.S. numismatics.
