Forged by Zenjo Yoshitoki of the Zenjo Seki School, this tachi is from the Genroku Period, between 1678 and 1704. From the Mino Province, this particular sword was owned by someone associated with the Hosokawa clan which can be identified from the Nine-Circle Crests on the mounts.
