American Eagle Gold Bullion Coins were released in 1986 by the U.S. Mint. These bullion gold coins come in four sizes, 1oz, ½oz, ¼oz, and 1/10oz. These bullion coins have denominations of $50, $25, $10, and $5 respectively.

American Eagles are the only modern gold bullions currently authorized by the U.S. Government. Per law, they are made from gold that comes only from American mines. The U.S. Mint guarantees their weight, content, and purity.
