Product Details
This is a NGC graded coin and you will receive the pictured coin. You are buying an 1891 Seated Liberty Quarter graded PF68 CAM and CAC Verified. The black-and-white contrast on each side is nothing short of astounding, grabbing the attention of the viewer and not letting go. The piece appears exactly as it must have at the time it was minted. The fields showcase seemingly depthless mirroring, and the devices are coated in a thick blanket of rich mint frost with a needle-sharp strike. This last year of the Seated Quarter date saw only 600 proofs struck. The survival rate in the highest grades assures that the date ranks among the rarities of the series. PCGS and NGC combined census: 3 in 68 (1 in 68+) Cameo and none finer. This is an excellent coin to add to your collection.

Seated Liberty Quarters (1838 – 1891) - Motto (1866-1891) – After the Civil War, religious fervor had the motto IN GOD WE TRUST added to the U.S. circulating coinage. It started with the new two-cent piece in 1864, but the epitaph wasn’t added to the quarter dollar until 1866. The motto was placed in a ribbon above the reverse eagle. The inscription remained through the second Arrows variety and remains on the quarter dollar today.
