Product Details:

Struck at the Denver Mint in 95% copper, this famous 1922 No D Lincoln Wheat Cent 1C represents Die Pair 2, the premier and coveted 'Strong Reverse' variety where the 'D' mint mark was completely polished off the obverse die. Designed by Victor David Brenner, the obverse depicts Abraham Lincoln facing right beneath IN GOD WE TRUST, with LIBERTY to the left and dated 1922 without a mint mark below. The reverse displays two sharply defined ears of durum wheat framing ONE CENT and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA beneath E PLURIBUS UNUM. Certified Fine 12 by PCGS, this key-date variety displays honest, even circulated wear, rich chocolate-brown patina, and the distinctive sharp reverse lettering and bold lines characteristic of genuine Die Pair 2 examples.
